GOAL RUSH SOCCER ACADEMY - DALLAS, TEXAS - EST 2010

Attack With Purpose. Train With Intelligence. Play With Confidence.
More Than Training — We Build Competitive Academy Teams
At Goal Rush Soccer [grs], we are not simply running skills sessions. We are building intelligent, attack-minded academy teams designed to compete at a high level while developing complete players.
Our mission is to identify motivated players, develop them within a demanding but supportive environment, and build teams capable of competing with the best clubs in the area.
We focus on:
Team chemistry and player understanding
Intelligent attacking soccer
Movement, spacing, and communication
Confidence under pressure
Tactical awareness and decision-making
Technical development within real game environments
Building leaders, not just athletes
Whether your child is looking for a stronger developmental environment, wants to prepare for higher-level soccer, or simply wants to become a confident and impactful player on a competitive team, Goal Rush Soccer provides the structure and coaching to make that happen.
Who We’re Looking For
We want players who:
Love soccer
Want to improve
Compete hard
Accept coaching
Work for teammates
Want to be part of something bigger than themselves
Talent matters.
But attitude, effort, coachability, and commitment matter just as much. At GRS, 100% effort is the standard.
Why Families Are Looking For Something Different?
Many players spend months & years in environments where development takes a back seat.
Players often:
Spend too much time standing in lines
Rarely touch the ball under pressure
Learn systems without understanding the game
Feel overlooked in large club environments
Improve slowly despite practicing constantly
At Goal Rush Soccer, we do things differently. Our philosophy is centered around developing players who can:
Think independently
Solve problems under pressure
Play creatively within a team structure
Understand movement and spacing
Attack with confidence and purpose
Work together as a connected unit
Because the strongest teams are built from intelligent, confident players who understand the game.

Building Academy Teams The Right Way
Small-Sided Development Creates Better Players
GRS training is heavily built around:
3v3
4v4
Futsal
Small-sided transition games
High-touch possession environments
Why? Because small-sided soccer accelerates:
Decision-making
Ball control
Awareness
Creativity
Communication
Confidence under pressure
Players are constantly involved instead of standing around waiting for repetitions. Every session is designed to replicate real game situations so players learn how to solve problems in live environments — not just perform isolated drills.
Player Development & Success
Goal Rush Soccer has produced players who have:
Competed at the highest youth levels, including ECNL
Played varsity soccer as freshmen
Been voted varsity team MVP
Won championships and tournament MVP honors at the Gothia Cup, often referred to as the “Youth World Cup”
Played on the United States Regional Olympic Development Program (ODP)
Earned All-District 1st Team honors
The goal at GRS is not simply participation—it is transformation.

Attack-Based Team Philosophy
At GRS, we believe the best defense is a dominant offense. We train players and teams to:
Control possession intelligently
Create space and attacking angles
Move with purpose
Transition quickly between offense and defense
Communicate effectively as a unit
Play proactive soccer instead of reactive soccer
Players learn how individual decisions impact the entire team structure. The result is teams that:
Move cohesively
Press intelligently
Create attacking opportunities consistently
Stay composed under pressure
Play with confidence and identity

Meet the Founder: Joseph
Joseph, Head Coach and Founder of Goal Rush Soccer, brings a rare combination of experience, perspective, passion, and effectiveness.
With 28 years in child development — including 12 years as a referee and 16 years coaching at a professional level — along with 19 years dedicated to recovery work, Joseph understands exactly how players grow. His recovery work focuses on understanding childhood experiences — identifying healthy and unhealthy patterns — and developing deep self-awareness. That understanding translates directly into coaching: when one understands themself, one obtains a greater understanding of the behavior and needs of others. The result is faster growth, stronger connections, and more effective development.
Joseph is also:
United States Soccer Federation National D Licensed
USC Small Sided Games Certified
His playing career concluded in 1998 at Regis University [ NCAA Division I / II ] as a redshirt, walk-on player.
Joseph’s ability to break through mental barriers sets him apart. Where other coaches may struggle, Joseph connects — helping players build confidence, enjoy the process, and improve faster. The result is more growth, more fun, more success, and a stronger foundation long-term.
A Global Perspective on Soccer
Joseph’s global experience further separates him. Having backpacked, studied, and played soccer across 36 countries, he brings a deep understanding of the game shaped by diverse styles, cultures, and philosophies. As he learned countless perspectives on life and soccer during his 15 months abroad, he now incorporates those insights directly into his coaching.
At GRS, players are exposed to a wide range of environments and formats:
3v3 tournaments, 4v4 leagues, outdoor leagues, indoor leagues, and futsal
Soccer tennis and wall ball training
Grass, turf, wood, and rubber playing surfaces
This level of variation expands a player’s perspective — teaching them how the game changes based on space, speed, and surface. The more styles a player experiences, the deeper their understanding and development. Joseph’s coaching style is influenced by some of the game’s greatest thinkers and competitors — Zinedine Zidane, Johan Cruyff, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Roy Keane, Lionel Messi, Thierry Henry, Edgar Davids, and Ronaldinho — as well as the tactical identities of The Netherlands (Total Football), Spain, Germany, & Brazil.
The result is a dynamic, demanding, creative, and intelligent training environment.
He is highly effective and efficient in every session, maximizing touches on the ball—because more touches lead to faster improvement. At the same time, he holds players accountable, developing disciplined, focused, and game-ready athletes.

Why The Name “Goal Rush” Matters
The name Goal Rush Soccer carries deep personal meaning for Joseph.
Goal Rush was the club he played for IN 1985 from ages 5 – 10 years old. During that time, Head Coach Terry Way played a major role in Joseph’s growth — not only as a player, but as a person. The experience and mentorship Joseph received through soccer left a lifelong impact.
Years later, when Joseph decided to enter coaching, he wanted to reconnect with Terry. To his surprise, Terry had just passed away. At that moment, the mission became clear: To give back what was freely given to him through Terry and through soccer itself.
That is why the club carries the name Goal Rush Soccer.
The purpose is bigger than winning games. It is about building players, confidence, character, discipline, understanding, and lifelong growth.

Why Families Choose GRS
When you come to Goal Rush Soccer, you are getting the best.
This is not a money-making juggernaut with 30 teams per age group that only develops a handful of quality players. GRS is built differently.
The mission is to produce teams capable of competing with the best and to develop players who can move on to any club their heart desires—because they have acquired the skill, discipline, confidence, and deep understanding of soccer necessary to succeed anywhere.
